POSITION SUMMARY: Coordinate the development and implementation of Safety and Quality Management System procedures governing the production functions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Establish, coordinate, and conduct Safety and QMS training programs as required
- Ensure all annual Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and QMS training and testing are conducted and documented as required
- Lead continuous improvement projects and activities and look for opportunities to increase efficiency and productivity for the location
- Promote LEAN methodology
- Update and/or create department-wide and site-specific quality procedures/forms as needed
- Conduct Safety and QMS audits to ensure compliance (taking samples, checking records, and performing inspections)
- Assist Location Manager in ensuring compliance for QMS
- Perform daily line walks to analyze and coach our processes and procedures
- Maintain training records as required by Corporate Health & Safety
- Manage the MSDS Online SDS database for the site (procedures, audits, and authorized users)
- Research and establish protocols to comply with state and local regulations for all Environmental, Health and Safety requirements
- Assist with root cause analysis training on incidents/complaints
- Chair local safety committee
- Manage record retention for quality and safety records
- Inventory, order, inspect, and restock all PPE and Safety supplies and equipment Research and order specialty PPE and safety items as needed
- Build and manage emergency action plans and evacuation maps and update as needed
- Coordinate facility drills and exercises for emergency response with local authorities
- Assume leadership role in AgReliant's safety culture and ensure safety standards are being followed in the workplace according to Corporate Health & Safety Program
- Responsible for projecting a positive image AgReliant Genetics and acting in accordance with the Company's Core Values
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Associate degree in Agriculture, Safety and Compliance, Business, or related field preferred
- 1 or more years of experience in seed production, manufacturing, or safety and compliance (safety audits, process creation, quality monitoring)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must have a valid driver's license and meet MVR Requirements
- Ability to work required hours and shifts
- Ability to lift 65 lbs.
- Able to work in both plant (75% of the time) and field (25% of the time) during all weather conditions
- Ability to travel up to 10% with some overnight travel required
