Process Automation - Analyst Developer - JIRA/JAVAGFT Technologies - Proud GPTW 2024!New York, New York, United StatesLocation: Florida (Hybrid - Minimum 3 days onsite )Job Type: ContractContract Duration: 6 monthsContract Daily Rate: $ 700-900 per dayGFT is looking for a talented JIRA Process Automation Analyst with strong Java development skills to join our team. This role involves automating workflows and business processes using JIRA platform to one of the biggest banks in Latin America. As a GFT contractor, you will be part of a high performing team of professionals within a 12,000+ team members global organization which is developing and implementing technology solutions for its clients and partners.Responsibilities:
  • JIRA Process Automation: Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for JIRA workflows to improve operational efficiency and minimize manual effort across teams;
  • Write and maintain custom Java scripts for automating tasks, integrating JIRA with other systems (e.g., version control tools, CI/CD pipelines),and enhancing functionality;
  • Manage integrations between JIRA and other tools such as Git, Jenkins, Confluence, and Slack, ensuring smooth data flow and automation across platforms
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and optimize workflows, proposing and implementing improvements to current processes;
  • Provide technical support and training to internal teams on JIRA automation features, best practices, and custom solutions;
  • Create custom reports, dashboards, and metrics to track automation performance, monitor system health, and ensure business processes are running smoothly;
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation for all automation solutions, workflows, and integrations, ensuring knowledge sharing across teams.
Mandatory Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA, its APIs, and Java-based automation solutions, working to streamline operations and improve productivity;
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field;
  • Experience: 3-4 years of experience in JIRA process automation and Java development;
  • Proficiency in Java and associated frameworks;
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA APIs (REST, SOAP), scripting, and workflow automation in JIRA;
  • Familiarity with JIRA Software, JIRA Service Management, and JIRA Core;
  • Experience with integrations using tools like Bitbucket, GitLab, Confluence, Slack, and others;
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation in development workflows;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and optimize automation solutions;
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams;
Additional Skills:
  • Portuguese speaking is a nice to have;
  • Familiarity with other scripting languages such as Python or Bash is a plus;
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and familiarity with project management tools.
