RequirementsEducation and Experience
- Master's Degree in Special Education, Speech/Language Pathologist, or related field preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field and Missouri Teacher's Certificate required
- At least 2 years of experience working with children with autism (experience running Intensive Teaching programs with a Verbal Behavior focus preferred)
Clinical Management
Ensures compliance with school district procedures, state, and federal laws in relation to Special Education and IEPsMonitor schedules for re-evaluations and IEP annual review meetingsCheck and approve IEP documentation provided by teachers for accuracy and compliance with standards prior to distribution to parents.Performs and monitors evaluations and timelinesAssists in preparation of federal, state, and local reports on special education and crisis interventionsAttend meetings and training sessions related to special education as deemed appropriate by the Administrative of Clinical DirectorDevelop, provide, and promote regular in-service training to the Milestones Academy team regarding special education procedures.Training and Specific Skills and Abilities
