Job summaryLead all process engineering activities for key plant processes and systems. May manage capital projects and operation activities as assigned.Summary of essential job functionsMaintain plant material and energy balances and process control.Develop and improve processes, P&IDs, SOPs, and process narratives.Lead and train technicians; participate in hiring, managing, and evaluating/testing technicians.Substitute for plant operations leadership as needed.Assist in capital and maintenance planning.Support long-term production scheduling and participate in daily production meetings.Analyze data, daily reports, laboratory information, and operations activities.Understand and lead environmental discharges and good manufacturing practices.Facilitate cohesive teambuilding; communicate effectively across all organizational levels.Minimum requirementsB.S. degree in Chemical Engineering or Pulp and Paper Engineering preferredExperience required1-3 years plant manufacturing experience or equivalent demonstration.
