Summary At SMS group Inc., the Process Engineer – Flat Products – Cold Rolling Mills is responsible for technical support of operations and sales for Cold Rolling Mills. The Process Engineer has direct contact with customers, SMS group site team, R&D, engineering, sales, service, and service centers. The Process Engineer needs to have an entrepreneurial mindset, focusing on technical support, troubleshooting, enhancement and improvements. What you'll do Directly contacts customers with the assistance of SMS group Inc. sales and service personnel if required Creates an open dialog with customers to seek out current issues & develop solutions utilizing SMS Group's global technical resources Obtains RFQ's from customers and presents them to SMS group Inc. internal resources to be processed and assists in preparing the final proposal to the customer Onsite assessment of Cold Rolling Mill Equipment Onsite installation and supervision of Cold Rolling Mill Equipment Technical interface with customers to assist in any operational and process questions that arise What you'll need Engineering degree and a minimum of 10 years' experience in Cold Rolling Commissioning & field service experience is a plus Operational experience is also a plus Strong background in Cold Rolling Mill equipment commissioning and operations Multi-disciplined aptitude with the ability to interpret mechanical, fluid, and electrical drawings and schematics Ability to work with multiple departments within the SMS group Strong confidence to communicate with customers and onsite subcontractors frequently Domestic travel and limited International travel required What we offer Competitive compensation, medical/dental/vision coverage, paid vacation, paid holiday time, 401k with a company match, training, a tuition reimbursement program and more!
