Process Engineer

In this role you will be responsible for designing and implementing manufacturing processes, equipment, and plants (from pilot to fully operational) to achieve the production goals of the organization. You will identify and develop process and equipment needed to produce specific products, parts, and components.You will be responsible for providing technical direction as it relates to equipment and processes for the glass container manufacturing production activities from the raw material unloading through shipping to customers.An engineering degree is not required for this role, what they are looking for is someone with troubleshooting experience with electronic equipment like servo motors, drives, cabling, VFDs who can get their team to the next level in diagnosing issues. They have electricians who do the actual repair work, your job is to make sure they understand what to look for (if there are multiple drives and servo motors, which is the most likely cause of the issue).You must show you have strong leadership, mentoring, organizational skills, and problem-solving capabilities.You will also be expected to:- Provide the planning and recommend resources to improve the glass manufacturing process through statistical based analysis- Interpret statistical process control data, collection, and analysis - Analyze the data for trends and root cause and provide appropriate follow up- Perform designed experiments to determine actions needed for improved process capabilities- Develop and implement projects to improve the manufacturing process- Initiate design changes to equipment or processes to achieve improved efficiencies- Review and suggest revisions or initiate Standard Operating Procedures- Assist in the planning, management and supervision for equipment installation and rebuild projects- Work in conjunction with plant manufacturing to maintain production, quality, and safety standards- Audit and review of current manufacturing practices to maintain continuous improvement in the glass manufacturing processBase + yearly bonus with 6-8% target.
