JOB SUMMARY:Subject matter expert in all of Structure Medical special processes for operation of the processes and support machine maintenance work for Structure Medical, LLC. Responsible for managing new special process equipment installation projects through technology research, project approval, and implementation. Support maintenance of the special process equipment and / or mechanical repairs as needed. Position relies on experience and exercises independent judgment to determine the best approach by using and interpreting policies and procedures. - Special Processes currently in scope of this position:
- Passivation (Nitric and Citric)
- Electropolishing
- Medical Industry Final Clean
- Laser Etching (including medical industry passive etch requirements)
- Laser Welding
- TIG Welding
- Heat Treating
- Able to research latest technology
Develop and implement refined processes, procedures, and best practices for special processing equipment. This will help to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
- Develop preventative maintenance requirements for each of these processes.
- Trouble shoots through good problem solving.
- Develop deep understanding of the chemical processing for passivation / electropolishing / final clean.
- Lead efforts in regular maintenance service contracts.
- Leads maintenance on troubleshooting of all special process equipment.
- Work with and manage external suppliers. This includes finding and vetting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships with suppliers.
- Assisting in mechanical and electrical machine design / assemblies.
- Project management implementation of new equipment / processes / process changes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree, Mechanical or Chemical preferred; supplemented by five (5) or more years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
