Role Overview:
As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring optimal production processes, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement. Your expertise in chemical reactions, project management, and data-driven decision-making will be essential.
Core Responsibilities:
- Performance Monitoring: Oversee up to four production processes, ensuring optimal performance and continuous improvement.
- Chemical Expertise: Apply reaction chemistry principles to all production processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and address production issues using data-driven improvements.
- Investigative Skills: Conduct thorough investigations into customer complaints, production discrepancies, and equipment failures.
- Corrective Actions: Develop and execute corrective actions to address identified issues.
- Project Management: Lead process improvement projects for successful outcomes.
- Quality Correlation: Link final product quality with production processing data.
- Training Development: Assist in training plant supervisors and operators, developing comprehensive training plans.
- Yield Tracking: Monitor production yields and conduct mass balances.
- Statistical Tools: Employ SPC and SQC tools to maintain process control and quality.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure cohesive operations.
Job Requirements:
- Chemical Engineering Degree
- Polymer Experience
- 3-5 Years Chemical Plant Experience: Similar role progression (Shift Engineer Process Engineer Production Engineer) with the goal of becoming the Unit Manager.
- ISO 9001 or Similar Certification: Familiarity with SPC, SQC, CAPA, and MOC processes.
- Managerial and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to manage both processes and people.
- Project Management and Process Improvement Skills: We value engineers who create their own improvements and suggestions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Writing and Revising SOPs
- Knowledge of SPC/SQC
- Experience with Exothermic Reactions, Vacuum Dryers, and Powder Handling/Packaging Operations
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Understanding of Batch Polymerizations, Esterification, and Trans-esterification Hydrolysis Reactions
- Proficiency in Distillation, Filtration, Drying, and Pneumatic Conveying Processes
