Process EngineerDepartment: EngineeringEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: Oakdale, LAReporting To: Technical ManagerDescriptionThe Process Engineer is responsible for identifying and solving problems throughout the plant by means of projects, data collection, and process improvement. The individual will work closely with the Finished Products Manager on various functions related to quality control while leading improvement projects and identifying plant performance inefficiencies.Responsibilities include:
- Be a safety culture champion
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement efforts
- Champion areas during down days and outage
- Evaluate statistical data
- Plan and execute product qualifications and trials
- Work with sales and shipping departments
- Order and manage inventories of key raw materials
- Report on production and plant performance metrics
- Be proficient in ActivePlant
Job QualificationsA willingness to learn and grow is critical for this position. Required skills, experience, and/or education.
- College degree in a technical field
- 5 years of manufacturing experience may be considered in lieu of college degree
- Demonstrates a high level of emotional intelligence
- Ability to grasp complex concepts easily
