For over 150 years, Fenner Dunlop has researched, designed, developed, manufactured, and tested its conveyor belting products, supporting nearly any type of conveyor application, and providing the right solutions to protect conveyor system investments in the harshest conveying environments.Primary Duties:Process Analysis and Improvement:Drive productivity through process simplification and improvements.Analyze processes and products to maximize yield, reduce scrap, and minimize defects.Streamline processes to reduce change-over and set-up time.Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.Participate in company projects and root cause meetings to improve safety, quality, and productivity.Routinely assess and deliver on KPI goals within the plant.Process Development and Optimization:Develop, configure, and optimize processes from inception through to start-up and certification.Provide process documentation and operating instructions to comply with ISO 9001:2000 standards.Conduct Root Cause Analysis of quality defects and implement effective countermeasures.Implement safety protocols within all new processes and ensure compliance with safety standards.Quality Assurance and Control:Review quality concerns or issues and facilitate adequate corrective actions as required.Provide troubleshooting and assistance to production crews.Implement and monitor corrective actions to resolve quality defects.Collaborate with the quality/technical team to ensure all products meet customer specifications and expectations.Customer Service:Engage with customers to understand their needs and expectations regarding product quality and performance.Address customer concerns related to process issues and implement solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.Communicate process improvements and quality enhancements to customers to demonstrate ongoing commitment to excellence.Documentation and Compliance:Ensure process documentation and operating instructions are up-to-date and comply with ISO 9001:2000 standards.Maintain detailed records of process changes, improvements, and quality control measures.Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards within the manufacturing process.Safety and Risk Management:Prioritize safety in all process improvements and comply with relevant safety regulations.Adhere to and promote safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.Document and report any safety incidents or near-misses and participate in developing preventive measures.Participate in safety meetings and contribute to developing a culture of safety within the organization.Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field, or in the process of completing the degree.Proven experience in process improvement, quality control, and production optimization.Familiarity with process control or process engineering in a manufacturing environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 standards and quality management systems.Understanding of problem-solving and quality improvement tools.Familiarity with industrial controls, standards, and practices.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Analytical SkillsApplicable computer programs, including but not limited to Microsoft OfficeConflict ResolutionDetail OrientedExceptional communication skillsFlexible & AdaptableInterpersonal SkillsMeeting/Planning/FacilitationOrganizational SkillsProblem-SolvingProject ManagementTime ManagementWorking Conditions/Physical Demands:Ability to work shifts, weekends, and/or holidaysExposure to hazards (e.g., mechanical, electrical, chemical, gases, etc.)Sedentary work (general office environment)Work in varying atmospheric conditions (e.g., fumes, dusts, gases, etc.)Work in varying physical conditions (e.g., noise, humidity, vibration, weather changes, etc.)What We OfferAt Fenner Dunlop, a Michelin Group company, we care about work/life balance as well as the health and financial wellbeing of our employees and their families.
