Job Title: Process Engineering Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Engineering Manager to join our client's dynamic team. In this leadership role, you will guide a team of process engineers and technicians in developing, optimizing, and implementing manufacturing processes that drive efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality. You will play a key role in both strategic planning and hands-on leadership within a fast-paced production environment, with a strong emphasis on daily involvement on the production floor to lead continuous improvements. Additionally, you will be expected to develop skills that align with potential growth opportunities, contributing to the company's succession planning for division and plant leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of process engineers and technicians, creating a collaborative, results-driven environment.
- Process Optimization: Evaluate and enhance current manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions that boost efficiency, reduce waste, and maximize output.
- New Process Development: Work alongside cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes, ensuring they meet company standards and align with organizational objectives.
- Quality Assurance: Partner with the Quality Assurance team to define and uphold manufacturing process standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal requirements.
- Cost Reduction & Efficiency: Drive cost-saving initiatives through process optimization and waste reduction, while ensuring consistent product quality and safety.
- Project Management: Lead and manage process engineering projects, overseeing project planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline execution to meet objectives and deliverables.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with R&D, Production, Maintenance, and other departments to troubleshoot process challenges, resolve technical issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, procedures, and project outcomes, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, regulatory standards, and environmental guidelines.
Qualifications:
- 5–10 years of manufacturing experience in process or manufacturing engineering (specific technical knowledge may be required depending on the role).
- Preferred Experience:
- 5+ years in Lean Manufacturing
- 5+ years in Continuous Improvement
- 5+ years in Engineering (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with strong teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Willingness to travel domestically (15%-25%) and internationally (5%-15%).
