What You'll Do
Data Analysis and Process Optimization
- Develop strategies to improve throughput, reduce downtime, and optimize resource utilization.
- Analyze production and operational data, including real-time and historical data from PLCs and SCADA systems, to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Present actionable insights and recommendations to management for process changes, workforce optimization, and cost reductions.
- Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure sustained improvements in productivity and efficiency.
- Conduct root cause analysis using problem-solving techniques to address production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production teams to develop and execute enhanced output strategies that align with business objectives.
Automation and Technology Integration
- Identify manual processes and recommend areas for automation to streamline workflows.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to design, implement, and optimize automation and software solutions.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies that align with operational goals, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Utilize advanced software tools, including ERP systems and automation platforms, to enhance operational efficiency and production tracking.
- Implement and optimize digital tools for workflow management and communication across teams.
Project Management
- Lead and manage process improvement and automation projects from conception to implementation.
- Work with IT and vendors to ensure successful deployment and integration of software and hardware.
- Monitor project outcomes to measure impact and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop detailed project plans, define goals, timelines, and deliverables, and allocate resources effectively.
- Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, identify roadblocks, and proactively resolve issues.
Accountability and Performance Monitoring
- Hold team members accountable for project milestones, operational targets, and adherence to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct performance reviews and audits to assess the effectiveness of improvements and provide feedback for further optimization.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards across all improvement projects.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between production, maintenance, IT, and engineering teams to ensure alignment on improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate communication across teams to promote knowledge sharing, transparency, and a collaborative work environment.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain process evaluations, project plans, and implemented solutions.
- Provide regular updates and reports on improvement initiatives, KPIs, and project progress to stakeholders.
What You'll Need
-Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field, or in the process of completing the degree.
-3+ years of experience in process improvement, manufacturing engineering, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, and industrial automation systems.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar).
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
