As a Process Improvement Specialist, you will be able to work independently to coordinate, plan, and collect information on process management, process improvement, operation analysis and/or quality control/quality assurance activities. You will also support the development of process, Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC). You will compile and track data for special studies, audits and other investigations and assist with the development of training or familiarization materials for the above activities will also be part of your job.
Responsibilities:
Work with teams to implement process changes and improvements
Facilitate change management to ensure adoption process improvements by employees (includes training)
Suggest and implement improvements to existing processes
Document all aspects of process improvement initiatives
Provide guidance on project planning and development
Provide regular reports on progress
Work independently with no supervision
Partially write and support the overall development and implementation of process re-engineering, quality, configuration management and business process modernization projects
Assist in the preparation of organization-wide plans and models
Partially write and support the overall development of and/or provide quality review of task materials
Research and develop processes, audit documentation and detailed reports on the development, implementation and analysis of re-engineering methodologies, business improvement principles, configuration management and analysis and business process modernization projects
Develop plans and schedules for projects within the task
Develop and apply organization-wide plans and models consistent with organizational goals to achieve cost, time, configuration management and quality improvements
Perform analysis and evaluation of all aspects of FAA Business Operations
Collaborate with stakeholders across different teams to ensure implementation and to assess impacts
Ensure that process improvement is aligned with SLE quality standards and requirements
May be tasked to support other systems within AJW-171
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of eighteen (18) years of process improvement experience OR
Master's Degree with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of process improvement experience
AND Specific training and/or certification in one of the following: iCMM, ISO, CM, or PMP is required
Technical Proficiencies
Required:
Strong knowledge and background of second level engineering standards and policies
Knowledge of System Support Directive process
An ability to overcome challenges and setbacks
Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic environment and adjust quickly to changing priorities and requirement
An ability to identify root causes of process issues and develop solutions
