Job Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for the operations of a specific process in a high volume, order fulfillment, multi-shift distribution center. You will manage all functions to ensure timely and accurate product receipt, order fulfillment, and the optimization of resources and processes.You will manage processes to ensure compliance with the organization's policies/procedures, continual process improvement, and drive employee initiatives to create and promote an environment where employees are engaged, empowered, and committed to the success of the company.This role is the management of people, processes, and systems. You should be able to lead the leaders, and influence operations as a major advocate of continuous improvement and leading people.Ideally, you are a senior leader with a depth of experience in dealing with continuous improvement, process improvements, LEAN experiences, or similar deployment of systems like 5S, Gemba, Six Sigma, and so on. You should have an engineering mindset or degree (ideal, not required), be confident in your abilities to demonstrate how changes can positively impact the organization (be fearless) and become the subject matter expert of system and process optimization. Key responsibilities:- Ensure products are provided to internal and external customers on time so that operating costs and process efficiencies are met- Support strategic plan programs and activities- Drive Continuous Improvement program, utilize LEAN tools and processes- Responsible for performing initial root cause analysis and investigations in the areas of productivity, safety, quality, cycle time and other key performance metrics- Trend and analyze process variations and exceptions resulting in lower-than-expected performance- Ability to implement audit systems and ensure compliance with processes- Proven ability to evaluate and determine ROI on projects and process improvements- Form teams, lead LEAN events and implement solutions to drive results and operations excellence- Support the DC Management Team in the implementation of projects within function of responsibility or other departments on the floor- Ensure that all assigned projects and deliverables (such as action items, process improvements and other duties as assigned) are completed per the commitment date- Ensure compliance with Company, OSHA, DOT and EPA regulations and other governmental agencies- Ensure timely communication of issues that may impact quality, production, cycle time or employee safety- Ensure 100% compliance with established department processes and procedures- Identify/prioritize/provide resources to assist Operations Manager to meet the annual operating plan and budgetary commitmentsSalary plus operational bonus, roughly 15%.
