They are currently looking for a Process Manager in their Gary Indiana location. This organization seeks a committed leader to support the Steel Division in managing scrap, alloy, and desulfurization reagent needs to meet production goals efficiently and within safety and environmental guidelines. Responsibilities include overseeing scrap and alloy procurement, inventory management, stockpiling, and vendor coordination to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost optimization. The role involves integrating BOP and QBOP scrap requirements, managing intercompany shipments, and implementing robust inspection, quality, and accounting procedures.Additional duties include developing reporting systems, budgeting, and supporting improvement projects while fostering cross-functional communication among teams. This position requires at least two years of supervisory experience. The company has a long history of hiring military leaders and they are looking for someone with a logistics background, someone who understands materials management and optimizing the cost of materials used.
