Job Description SummaryJob DescriptionThe Process Quality Engineer is responsible for product quality review associated with the manufacturing process. Requires mastery of a body of theoretical knowledge. Requires developing a strong foundation of functional skills and knowledge of relevant technologies.Essential ResponsibilitiesThe Process Quality Engineer will:Provide shop floor support for manufacturingAccountable for both quality assurance and quality control of products, manufacturing processes and outside vendor servicesOwn gage and CMM validation and out of tolerance investigationsDevelop new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizationsLead team in defining effective Root Cause Corrective ActionsLead investigation for Work Station Audit findings, Product Audit findings, and Customer ReturnsSupport manufacturing engineering team to monitor and analyze process capability and define process improvement plansLead analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methodsStrong understanding of QMS AS9100D or similarWork together with Rutland team across all levels of the organizationWork on shop floor with operators to address quality issuesQualifications/RequirementsBachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)3 years of Quality EngineeringDesired CharacteristicsHumble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn​Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively​Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed ​Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative​Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinkerSix Sigma TrainingHealthcare benefits include medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage; access to a Health Coach, a 24/7 nurse-based resource; and access to the Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling and referral services.
