And under this roof, we protect what matters most.Job Summary:Internship is a chance for you to learn about your chosen field in a real work environment with experienced GAF professionals. You'll be involved in high-profile projects as an integral member of our working teams. During your assignment, you will have a mentor - someone who will act as a coach to help you better understand both our company and your work responsibilities. The Residential Process R&D team works closely with our New Product Development and Operations teams in order to scale up new products and technologies at the plant level. Activities may include working with and troubleshooting operation of pilot facilities to produce prototypes, developing process flow diagrams, identifying potential technologies to move forward with, and using these technical learnings to build a business case for capital investment.Essential Duties:Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Problem solving, project management, and communication skills are all necessary as is the ability to operate in a team environment. In addition, candidates must have the ability to generate accurate and concise technical reports.Developing and/or engaging with data flow diagrams/technical diagrams.Working under the guidance of a Process R&D Engineer, taking direction and completing tasks in a timely manner.Under This Roof, We Require:All candidates must have a minimum 2.8 GPA, at least sophomore standing.Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.Candidates should also have computer skills in Google, MS Excel, MS Word, and basic knowledge of AutoCAD.Under This Roof, We Also Value:As our team interfaces with multiple teams across the company, collaboration and communication skills are highly valued.Innovation in the process space requires technical capability and creative thinking.GAF complies with federal, state, and local disability laws and makes reasonable accommodations for applicants and employees with disabilities.
