Our industry experts deliver these services to leading privately held and publicly traded companies, as well as government agencies, and state-sponsored entities globally.About the jobAcuTech Consulting Group is growing rapidly and seeking highly qualified and motivated Process Safety Engineering Consultants & Managers with experience in the Oil & Gas, Chemical or Petrochemical Industry for work within the United States to help fuel our growth. Candidates will join a highly respected team of industry-leading Process Safety Management experts on challenging projects for many of the world's largest corporations.What You'll Do:As part of AcuTech's US PSM team, you will work directly with our clients on projects spanning all aspects of process safety and risk management. Successful candidates will proactively apply engineering and problem-solving skills to meet challenging safety and business objectives while seeking out leadership and growth opportunities. Candidates must have high technical acumen, be self-motivated, independent, organized, able to work effectively under the direction of senior engineers, and handle multiple work assignments and projects. Initial work assignments will be on-site performing process safety engineering work, comprised of facilitating PHA's, incident investigations, MOC, and various other process safety management needs.What's Required:Minimum 10+ years of experience required in the Oil & Gas industry (or Chemical/Petrochemical); ability to develop and lead cross-functional teams, manage client relationships, develop business and utilize strong project and people management skills; self-motivated, independent, organized, able to work effectively under the direction of senior engineers, handle multiple work assignments and projects and seek professional growth and development.A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related engineering field (chemical, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, safety)Relevant experience in process safety management, experience in process or engineering design environment, manufacturing operations, and/or consulting environment.Ability to develop a consulting business, including but not limited to developing proposals and making presentationsSelf-motivated, independent, strong leadership and organizational skills.Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and client service.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills and a consultative approach in supporting customer projects.Experience in developing, implementing, or managing PSM programsExperience in developing, writing, and implementing PSM plans, procedures, design philosophies, design bases, engineering specifications, standard operating proceduresExperience developing and evaluating/auditing PSM management systems and advising management at all levels of the organization to effect positive change to operational excellence.What's PreferredIdeal candidates will be Seller Doers  with existing client connections and an ability to generate new business.Experience and expertise in PSM Technical Services such as:Process hazard analyses (PHA), and risk assessments, or related studies, such as HAZID, What-If, HAZOP, FMEA, and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA)Quantitative Risk Assessment including QRA studies, fault tree/event tree analysis, facility siting studies, fire hazard, explosion, and toxic modelingSafety Instrumented Systems services such as:Safety integrity level (SIL) assessment, safety integrity level (SIL) assessment based on recognized knowledge of IEC61511 and related standardsExperience and expertise in dust hazard management services such as:Evaluating processes for dust hazard fire and explosion risks (DHA)Auditing for dust hazard managementExperience and expertise in reactive chemistry hazard managementThis position offers an excellent opportunity for personal and professional growth.
