This role works closely with team members to ensure the efficient washing, grading, and packaging of eggs, while maintaining quality standards and safety protocols.Key Responsibilities
Team Supervision:Lead and guide a team of processing employees to complete their tasks efficiently and accurately. Provide on-the-job training and support as needed.Task Assignment:Distribute tasks and responsibilities among team members to ensure that daily production goals are met. Monitor progress and adjust as necessary.Quality Assurance:Enforce quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of egg quality. Conduct regular inspections and intervene in the event of any quality issues.Safety Compliance:Promote and enforce safety protocols and regulations within the processing department. Foster a culture of safety awareness among team members.Equipment Operation:Operate processing equipment, including egg washers, graders, and packaging machines. Ensure equipment is used correctly and safely.Cleaning and Sanitization:Oversee cleaning and sanitization processes to maintain a clean and hygienic processing environment. Ensure equipment and work areas are sanitized regularly.Inventory Management:Assist in monitoring inventory levels of packaging materials, cleaning supplies, and other necessary items. Notify the Processing Manager of any replenishment needs.Reporting:Report any equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety issues to the Processing Manager promptly. Maintain accurate records of production activities.Training and Development:Participate in training programs and ensure team members are well-trained in all aspects of their roles.Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in food processing or a similar industry preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of food safety and quality control standards.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to operate processing equipment and perform physical tasks as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 65 pounds.
- Stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Working Conditions
- Exposure to a food processing environment, which may include temperature variations, noise, and odors.
- Occasional weekend or evening work may be required during peak production periods.
