Position The Procurement Analyst will support in the collection and evaluation of Procurement metrics, requirements, supply chain information, and different local and global conditions to support in NorthStar's purchasing activities. Physical demands may include, but not be limited to, specific vision abilities including near vision/acuity and visual color discrimination. The work environment may include exposure to a heated/air-conditioned indoor office / manufacturing / cleanroom setting with adequate ventilation and lighting and outdoor environments with varying temperatures. The noise level may vary from quiet to loud. Employees must be willing and able to wear various types of PPE, including, but not limited to, respirators, gloves, safety glasses, and protective clothing, as required by the job to ensure safety in potentially hazardous conditions. Specific cleanroom requirements include employees needing to inform leadership about any health condition that may have an adverse effect on products, as well as compliance with gowning protocols. This means all jewelry, including physically attached items, must not interfere with the effectiveness of personal protective equipment. In addition, all cosmetics, fragranced products (perfumes, aftershave, etc.), and nail products are prohibited, including clear nail polish, artificial nails, and nail extenders. The company is a radiopharmaceutical manufacturer and radiation may be present in manufacturing and laboratory areas. Employees may be required to be monitored using company provided dosimetry and bioassay testing. Responsibilities
- Effectively evaluate and process orders per company procedures and manage changes to the order.
- Support evaluations required in sourcing a wide variety of materials for multiple NorthStar facilities.
- Partner with Strategic Sourcing to understand domestic and global economic trends, major commodity price fluctuations, changes in supplier status, and supply chain costs to capitalize on opportunities.
- Analyze risk mitigation strategies that offer contingencies for sole source situations, scarce/allocated material scenarios, and global geopolitical concerns.
- Complete reports on supply chain conditions for strategic sourcing management.
- Support in evaluating methods, techniques, and criteria for reducing inventory cost and acquisition cost.
- Analyze and reporting support; SRM feedback, enter supplier scorecard metrics and forecast data for monthly reports, participate in business reviews, and ensure master supply agreements are being followed per Strategic Sourcing Specialist guidance.
Qualifications Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field from two-year college or technical school; or (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, supplier management, emphasis with FDA, medical devices or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
