Serving three primary markets - passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off-highway equipment - Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.Position Overview:Responsible for supporting the business and purchasing activities by ordering equipment, services, supplies, and raw materials for the facility to ensure materials are available to fill customer orders. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position additionally provides administrative support, maintains inventory, and purchase records throughout the procurement process.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinates with facility management to properly forecast needed materials while maintaining minimal inventory.Prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for all materials, supplies, and equipment for the organization.Places orders for all materials (Raw, Packaging, and Consumables).Places orders for general office supplies and approved capital purchases.Maintains records of vendor pricing, goods ordered, and received through ERP and other electronic systems.Orders Indirect Shop Supplies.Processes receipts for all orders to ensure items ordered have been received.Verifies vendor invoicing is correct and matches negotiated pricing.Maintains and analyzes purchasing data to determine reorder points, safety stock, expiring inventory, etc.Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external customers.Ensures understanding of the Safety and Quality processes.Ensures the correct raw materials are onsite for production from approved vendors.Directs the procurement of raw materials and packaging with vendors; maintains inventory of all materials.Ensures adherence to departmental SOPs.Maintains excellent negotiating and communication skills.Other duties as assigned.Badge Creation for new and existing employees.Contractor Management (Purchasing).Contact person for Cintas (Uniforms for New Employees, AED, First Aid Station, Eyewash Station).Mechanical aptitude preferred. Knowledge of Power Transmission and Fluid Power products is a plus.Ability to identify OSHA compliance issues and control hazards.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ADP, SAP, Salesforce, and other business software/systems preferred.Must be able to interact effectively with a variety of individuals and personalities within and between departments.Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.Education and Experience:BS Degree in Logistics, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field is preferred and/or 4 to 6 years of experience in a procurement field.Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions on the site. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust.Physical Demand:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time, and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support without fatigue. The position requires good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination.
