Procurement Finance Coordinator (Multiple Positions)
**POSITION DETAILS**

Reporting to the Finance Procurement Director and Chief Procurement Officer, the Procurement Finance Coordinator assists in the procurement process for all goods and services in accordance with NYS Procurement Guidelines and CUNY Procurement Policy. This role involves assisting with conducting solicitations, reviewing purchasing requisitions, preparing detailed specifications, and ensuring compliance with procurement standards. The Procurement Finance Coordinator will also engage in supplier negotiations, assist with urgent procurement requests, and provide exceptional customer service to internal departments and external stakeholders. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Assist with conducting the procurement process for materials and services, ensuring alignment with departmental needs and budget constraints.
Assist in preparing solicitation documentation (Request for Quotes, Request for Information, Request for Proposals, Invitation for Bids) in compliance with NYS Procurement Guidelines and CUNY Procurement Policy.
Review and process purchasing requisitions for accuracy, consulting with departments to resolve discrepancies.
Assist in analyzing market conditions and evaluate bids for price, quality, and supplier reliability.
Develop and refine procurement documents, including justification memos, in accordance with CUNY requirements.
Monitor annual service dates for critical renewals (e.g., software and maintenance contracts) to ensure timely submissions.
Input lease/rental agreements and GASB contracts in the ERP module.
Update web pages and online forms related to procurement activities for accuracy.
Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries, tracking purchasing activities, and resolving issues promptly.
NOTE:
Until further notice, this is a hybrid position, eligible to work remotely and work on-site in the office. All full-time and part-time CUNY staff are expected to work in-person at their campus office 70% of their work time. For full-time staff, this is equivalent to 7 out of 10 days of in-person work in a two-week period (e.g., 7 days in-person, 3 days remote). This hybrid work schedule is subject to change.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Bachelor's degree and two years of finance and procurement-related experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a closely related field.
Experience with PeopleSoft, Jagger ERP Systems, and procurement in government and/or higher education is required.
Knowledge of CUNY and NYS purchasing regulations, policies, and procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Effective team building, decision-making, and independent working abilities.

Salary Range: $54,268 to $65,946; salary commensurate with education and experience.
