Role:

Responsibilities:
- Lead the procurement and estimating strategy, overseeing commercial negotiations for goods and services to support project and organizational goals.
- Collaborate with internal and external legal counsel to develop and manage equipment supply and EPC agreements in alignment with market expectations and project requirements.
- Ensure post-execution contract management to fulfill obligations timely and within budget, facilitating smooth handoff to project management.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key suppliers, manufacturers, and EPC partners, and explore new strategic partnerships.
- Develop procurement initiatives in new markets ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards and collaborate on supplier qualification and auditing.
- Work closely with engineering, project management, and business development teams to analyze procurement options and provide equipment supply recommendations.
- Manage RFP processes to select optimal suppliers for major equipment and EPC services, advising senior management on supplier strategy.
- Analyze market trends and regulatory conditions, providing strategic recommendations to leadership.
- Attend tradeshows to expand vendor networks.
- Enhance internal and third-party estimating capabilities for solar and storage products.
Requirements:
- 8-12 years of purchasing experience in the energy sector (e.g., solar, wind, BESS, traditional generation).
- Leadership experience in procurement, estimating, strategic sourcing, or related fields.
- Proficiency in managing EPC contracts, Supply Purchase Agreements, and understanding of accounting practices.
- Expertise in Solar and Energy storage equipment and suppliers.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strategic procurement and purchasing experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of commercial negotiation, financial acumen, and legal aspects of procurement.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity, with a willingness to learn.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage relationships both internally and externally to drive corporate success.
- Global perspective and critical thinking skills to formulate recommendations and decisions.
- Experience in risk management.
