Job Description:
The Procurement Manager will play a key role in supporting procurement activities for site startup and CAPEX projects, ensuring seamless sourcing, cost management, and supplier performance. The role involves direct and indirect purchasing, contract management, and driving procurement excellence in alignment with business objectives.
Essential Duties:
- Manage local procurement activities, ensuring compliance with global processes in the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process.
- Support CAPEX projects, partnering with Plant Management, Engineering, and Quality Control teams to enable site startup and growth.
- Lead procurement processes for raw materials, negotiating supply agreements and optimizing lead times.
- Perform supplier relationship management (SRM), conducting quality and business reviews to improve supplier performance.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and monitor Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) savings.
- Utilize SAP S4/HANA and/or Ariba to manage purchasing activities, including BOM requirements and MRP processes.
- Facilitate contract management, supplier negotiations, and performance tracking.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize inventory strategy, payment cycles, and procurement workflows.
- Support global teleconferences across multiple time zones as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience or Master's degree with 4+ years of experience.
- Experience in procurement, contract management, and supplier negotiations.
- Familiarity with SAP S4/HANA, Ariba, or similar procurement/ERP platforms.
- Strong skills in cost reduction, inventory management, and supplier relationship management.
- Ability to work independently, with excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- GMP environment experience is a plus.
