Location: Wall Township, NJ, Hybrid

Salary: $110,000

Role Overview:

Seeking a Strategic Procurement Specialist to support commercial procurement strategies and execute commercial negotiations for solar power generation equipment, construction, and professional services in support of Clean Energy Ventures' (CEV) development, engineering, construction, operation and asset management activities.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Establish and cultivate strategic relationships with suppliers, consultants, and contractors in support of CEV's renewable energy construction projects, maintenance, and operations.
  • Track supply chain requirements, conduct sourcing and competitive bidding (RFx) processes and negotiate agreements for critical power generation equipment and materials (e.g., solar photovoltaic (PV) modules, solar inverters, trackers, and energy storage equipment).
  • Collaborate with the technical procurement, engineering, construction, and operations teams to analyze procurement options and to assist in making equipment supply recommendations that best position CEV's pipeline of renewable energy projects.
  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of current market conditions and their potential impact on cost, lead time and availability of supply.
  • Negotiate and administer renewable energy Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) and other third-party vendor contracts in conjunction with the business development and project management teams.
  • Promote strict adherence to all Procurement and other applicable policies and procedures, and recommend modifications as needed.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement around reporting, vendor management, systems, and other processes.
  • Assist with supporting all systems and tools required by Procurement activities, including but not limited to systems related to purchasing and contract management, third-party vendor management and reporting.
  • Ensure that supplier diversity considerations are involved in the planning of sourcing activities.

Position Specifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, finance, engineering, or equivalent work experience/training.
  • Five (5) or more years of relevant experience with proven track record of achievement.
  • Experience with solar/renewable energy equipment and renewable energy EPC contracts.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret design, development, and construction documents, specifications, and bids.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
  • Working knowledge of materials and inventory management, logistics, quality assurance, quality control, maintenance, and operations.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP Procurement and IBM Maximo Inventory Management systems is a plus.
