Job Description:
ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a Procurement Specialist to support a large Department of Defense (DoD) contract with a multi-million dollar yearly procurement budget. The procurement specialist will be part of a team, with the following responsibilities:Generate Request to Initiate Purchases (RIPs)and Travel Authorization Requests (TARs), track through the approval process, and ensure timely purchase and delivery of goods and services.Responsible to ensure procurements are accurate and processed within the defined Service Level Agreement (SLA) measurements.Record accurate cost and funding data for RIPs and TARs.Maintain logs and generate regular reports on procurement activities, performance metrics, and cost savings for senior management.Ensure that procurement activities adhere to customer and company standards and policies.Maintain relationships with vendors. Work with vendors to obtain quotes and resolve issues.Responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations which support program planning and operations.QualificationsAssociates degree and 7+ years of experience; OR Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience; OR Master's Degree and 3+ years of experience. Or 0 years with PhD. However, four (4) years of additional relevant experience or specialized training will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.Active SECRET security clearance.Previous experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Self-starter with the ability to perform in fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities at one time.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors, internal teams and the customer.Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify issues, and propose solutions to resolve discrepancies.Desired QualificationsExperience working with GSA/AAS for Request to Initiate Purchases (RIPs) and Travel Authorization Requests (TARs).Knowledge of federal procurement regulations including FAR guidelines.Experience using Jira software.Experience with Excel Pivot Tables.Target Salary Range$80,000 - $128,000.
