Job Summary:The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the sourcing and purchasing of goods and services for Indus Hospitality Group. This role will ensure that the company maintains strong supplier relationships, obtains the best pricing, and manages the procurement process effectively to support operational needs. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing & Purchasing: Manage the procurement of materials, goods, and services by identifying and sourcing potential suppliers, obtaining quotes, and negotiating contracts.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of products and services.
  • Order Management: Process purchase orders, track delivery timelines, and ensure that inventory levels meet operational needs.
  • Vendor Negotiations: Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to ensure the company receives the best value for its purchases.
  • Market Research: Stay up to date on market trends and supplier offerings to make informed recommendations on procurement strategies and opportunities.
  • Inventory Management Support: Collaborate with the inventory and operations teams to ensure products are delivered in line with demand, preventing stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Budget Management: Monitor procurement budgets to ensure adherence to spending limits and work to reduce costs wherever possible.
  • Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all transactions, and provide regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and inventory status to senior management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to the procurement process to drive efficiency, cost savings, and better supplier performance.
RequirementsQualifications & Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management. Previous experience in hotel and restaurants preferred.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring all orders, contracts, and documentation are accurate and complete.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with experience in procurement software or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the capacity to assess cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
  • Organization & Time Management: Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adjust priorities as needed.
