Job Description:
Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented Procurement Specialis in Sedro-Woolley WA! Founded in 2014 and headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, Sedron Technologies designs, manufactures, installs, and operates advanced water and waste upcycling technologies. With a focus on transforming the paradigm from waste processing to resource recovery, Sedron Technologies works with municipal, agricultural, and industrial customers to process their waste into climate-smart commodities through environmentally and financially sustainable methods. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the acquisition of materials, equipment, and services necessary for the company's operations. This role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that all procurement activities align with the company's quality and cost standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment and a deep understanding of supply chain management. We are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:
  • Work closely with other departments, such as production, engineering, and finance, to align procurement activities with company goals
  • Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain
  • Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers to secure the best deals and maintain cost efficiency
  • Oversee the purchasing process, including creating purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and managing inventory levels
  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement efficiency
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements
  • Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to ensure continuity of supply
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, including cost analysis, supplier performance, and market trends
  • Responsible for maintaining effective relationships with strategic suppliers and monitoring performance
  • Manage significant bid packages from inception to contract award to maximize total value
  • Execute purchase orders with suppliers, establishing lines of communication with new and existing suppliers, contacting suppliers to obtain price/lead time on products, following up on late deliveries and backordered items, communicating with internal teams on order status
  • Work with suppliers and internal departments to identify and develop potential sourcing solutions and alternatives
  • Ensure purchases are delivered on schedule, invoiced at the correct price and meet the quality standards to support daily operations
  • Participate as team member to update site production schedule, confirming material availability/shortages to support production schedules and reduce waste
  • Provides outstanding levels of customer service
  • Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
  • Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language
  • High School Diploma or GED is required
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • Wage range for this role is between $33.65 to $45.67 per hour
  • Discretionary bonus
  • The range provided is Sedron's estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
