POSITION SUMMARY: The Procurement Specialist is an attentive and team-oriented individual who will perform a variety of tasks supporting the continuous operation of the business through purchase order management, inventory management and various other tasks as needed. They will also have a high attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, growing environment. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support to Procurement, Operations and Demand Planning by issuing purchase orders
- Reconcile purchase order confirmations and manage in NetSuite
- Review and maintain re-order points for stock items
- Provide potential process and system efficiency opportunities to promote and manage growth
- Assist in managing supplier relationships, including compliance reporting
- Gather data from different reports and align those reports to present to Procurement and Operations
- Work with QA/QC to validate and ensure Receiving has all proper paperwork
- Prepare and maintain purchase order data while supporting and increasing effectiveness and efficiency of processes
- Researching new suppliers and making recommendations to the Procurement department
- Work with internal departments to resolve delivery, pricing, availability, payment issues
- Assist our production facilities in scheduling with inventory planning.
- Cross trained to support multiple supply chain functions
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Purchasing experience required
- College degree preferred
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Effective time management skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Great problem-solving skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to sit/stand for 8-10 hours
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
