Job Description:
Job Summary: This position is responsible for providing systems management and providing support services for the Procurement & Supply Chain organization. The Systems Support Specialist will focus on managing LUMA stakeholders' technology systems and tools to request goods and services, ensuring they function as efficiently as possible. This role involves supporting the procurement team and business end-users in maintaining proper access and training to ensure the effective utilization of technology systems. The System Support Specialist will work closey with the IT department, serving as the liaison through change management processes, as needed.Job Description:
  • Responsible for the technology systems and tools used by the procurement and supply chain department, ensuring that systems are appropriately configured and function efficiently to meet the business's needs.
  • Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades in collaboration with the IT department.
  • Act as primary point of contact for system-related questions and support requests.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance system functionality and improve user experience.
  • Conduct periodic evaluations of procurement systems and processes to identify inneficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to meet the needs of leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Provide training and technical support to the systems procurement users and end-users, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system errors, configurations, and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify and implement improvements to existing systems and processes.
  • Lead system-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensure all data management practices comply with regulatory standards and organizational data governance policies.
  • Follow all policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Perform major storm restoration work and associated drills as assigned or needed.
Additional Job Description: Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in systems administration.
  • Knowledge of computer systems, software and hardware related to procurement operations is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain complex techniques.
  • Bilingual verbal and written (English and Spanish).
  • Candidate must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office, ERP, file sharing technology and market analysis tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in a public sector or supply chain environment.
  • Knowledge of general procurement processes and procedures.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS, Asset Suite, Power Advocate, Mailchimp, Beroe and Sharepoint, is preferred.
