Position Overview

The Producer and Adjuster Licensing Manager will primarily be responsible for management and compliance of the day-to-day insurance agency licensing tasks for the domestic property and casualty business of Starr Insurance Companies.

Essential Job Functions

* Supervise, provide direction, review and assign various licensing related projects as well as provide training and relevant guidance to Licensing Team.

* Plan, manage and coordinate the operations of the Licensing Team.

* Oversee the preparation of business entity license applications (Producer, Managing General Agent, Third Party Administrator and Adjuster).

* Oversee license issuance and renewals on time to aid in insurance producer business initiatives.

* Oversee regulatory filings and updates to state insurance departments for producer license compliance, including coordination on the appointment process with Operations.

+ Act as lead point of contact on fielding licensing inquiries from business entities and management and provide oversight and engage in interactions with state insurance departments.

* Oversee the maintenance of agency files in compliance with state regulations.

* Conduct in-depth licensing and regulatory analysis as needed.

* Complete special projects and assignments as needed.

* Provide regular management reporting on various key performance indicators and projects.

* Performance expectations include working within a team environment, handling multiple priorities and building strong relationships with the Licensing Team and others.

* Interact with various levels of management and employees.

* Conduct audits of third-party business partners and new vendors to ensure licensing needs are met.

* Serve as subject matter expert on producer and adjuster licensing requirements.

Requirements

* Bachelors degree.

* 7-10 years of related experience.

* SILA-A certification preferred.

* P&C Licensing Application experience in multiple states.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

* Strong organizational skills and a dedicated approach towards the performance of assigned work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

* The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines.

* Ability to follow established workflows and guidelines.

* Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.

* Prior management experience.

* Experience with leisure travel licensing requirements and appointment processes.
