Job Summary/Description: WLBT is searching for a Line Producer for our lifestyle shows, highlighting events and unique storytelling here in Mississippi. The Line Producer creates, coordinates, and executes shows on air and online. In this position, you will be responsible for the content and flow of shows and the overall quality of our lifestyle shows. You will lead the charge in the development of our shows to meet a high standard. Strong broadcast writing and time management skills are essential. Familiarity with ENPS and Edius or Premiere Pro is strongly preferred. Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Produce shows using ENPS • Create graphics for lifestyle shows • Great conversational writing skills • Coordinate the writing and editing of scripts with excellent use of video and graphics to enhance storytelling • Communicate with anchors, field crews, reporters, and control room staff • Pitching local story ideas for the show • Greeting and assisting guests during show preparations • Closely working with the sales team and executive producer on sponsored content • Must have the ability to stay up to date on current events, what's popular, trendy, etc… Qualifications/Requirements: • Experience with ENPS and Edius or Premiere Pro is strongly preferred • Graphic design experience is a plus • Experience producing special reports and breaking news is a plus • A college degree in journalism, media, or related experience is a plus • Ability to prioritize and address multiple projects with varying production timelines • Must be energetic, positive, and great in a team environment • Must be a highly motivated self-starter, able to work well alone and as part of a team • Excellent communication and organizational skills If you feel you're qualified and want to work with a great group of people go to, you may type in the job title, station call letters, or click on apply now , upload your resume, cover letter, and references (Current employees who are interested in this position can apply through the Gray-TV UltiPro self-service portal ) WLBT-TV/Gray Media is a drug-free company Additional Info: Gray Media provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
