Job Description In this position you will join the SSD Architecture team and help define the architecture of Solidigm's datacenter SSDs. You will work with architecture, controller, firmware and hardware engineering groups to shape and define the architecture and development of best-in-class SSDs. Key Responsibilities:
- Architect IP blocks and feature for SSDs, own all aspects of IP definition such as spec development, system flow definition, h/w-s/w mapping, performance.
- Lead and participate in pathfinding and proof-of-concept for new features by developing firmware and/or models to prove out the feasibility.
- Participate in new product architecture discussions with planning, marketing and engineering departments to identify competitive yet executable architectures. Active engagement with leading customers for technology exploration and spec definition.
- Participate in product implementation - ASIC and FW arch spec reviews, design reviews, validation coverage reviews, active engagement in debug of high priority sightings from customers, performance/QoS characterization and driving improvements.
- Drive continuous improvements in products and processes based on industry trends, technology trends, competitive trends and internal execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, Master's degree (MS) preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in the following
- Embedded systems architecture and design, with hands on contributions in ASIC or FW development.
- SSD domains such as PCIe/NVMe or NAND controller or CPU complex architecture.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- In-depth technical knowledge of enterprise storage solutions architecture and design, the tradeoffs of various architecture solutions including the partition between ASIC and FW, technical knowledge of key SSD designs and components.
- Strong team player with ability to lead IP teams and drive innovative solutions.
- Knowledge of Enterprise SSD market/customer segments and corresponding requirements, emerging technologies and trends
Additional Information For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $148,930 - $250,410. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. At Solidigm Technology, we believe in transparency and fair compensation. In accordance with Canadian labor laws and our commitment to equitable hiring practices, we provide salary ranges for this position. Salary Range: $134,240 - $214,800 CAD. The actual compensation offered will be based on individual skills, qualifications, and experience. We strive to ensure that all employees are compensated fairly and in line with market standards. This position is a hybrid role with offices in: Rancho Cordova, California USA; Longmont, Colorado USA; Vancouver Canada - Candidates must work onsite 2-3 days per week in local office.
