Job Description:
Description Lead the Product Costing activity to support Inteva Product GroupsThis position is responsible for developing an enhanced Product Costing process for Inteva. The Product Costing Manager will serve as a business partner to the Product Group and Commercial Finance teams, to provide leadership and direction to ensure the development of relevant Product Costing Process across Inteva's Product Groups. This key position works with Product Group leader, Commercial Finance, Engineering, Sales, Procurement, Operations, Regional Finance and other functions globally to provide the business process definition.
  • Responsible for the development of a Product Costing Book defining the process used for costing of new business quote opportunities and change management.
  • Responsible to align our costing methods with Plant and Regional finance teams and assure commonality across Product Groups, Plants and Regions.
  • Responsible to coordinate with the Quotes teams, Commercial Finance, and Sales to ensure the Product Costing direction meets our revenue growth process and needs.
  • Responsible for supporting should cost calculations for the functional teams.
  • Responsible for working with the Product Groups, Commercial Finance, and the IT team to automate our costing process.
  • Responsible to roll out the Product Costing requirements across the full organization.
  • Responsible to pilot the roll out within a single Product Group and then roll out to the full organization.
  • Responsible to continually improve the Product Costing capabilities at Inteva.
  • Provides costing support for customer quotation activities and during the Project Development Process
Support key Interiors goals and activities
  • Understand our costing needs.
  • Define the costing process.
  • Support product and standard costing model development.
  • Focus on process rates development.
  • Seek approval for our Costing Book.
  • Roll out the Costing Process.
  • Automate the process,
  • Continuously improve the process.
  • Partner with Regional teams to develop plant cost structure analysis, burden rates, process rates, etc.
  • Support cost estimate and financial analysis consolidation for quotes of the product line
  • Support Inteva cost data translation to customer cost formats.
  • Support seamless preparation of Financials for Appropriation Request.
  • Support PDP: Program cost performance versus imperatives
  • Provide advice and counsel to product line team members on the actions to be taken to improve financial results, maximize opportunities, and risk management
Position Requirements Required:
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in similar role
  • Automotive Interiors Product Costing experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Understanding and experience working with the entire business value chain
  • Proven ability to see how decisions impact the long-term viability and effectiveness of the organization
  • Business-minded individual with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Motivated, self-starter with ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and global environment
  • Strategic and independent thinker with the ability to advise and influence peers and reports
  • Understanding of financial statements and experience with financial projections and modeling
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with analytical & challenging mindset
  • Ability to link operational and business issues to financial results and strategy
  • Attention to detail and a hands-on proactive attitude
  • Travel is required up to 15% both domestically and internationally to support the business, although this is an estimation and may increase or decrease depending on the needs of the business.
Preferred:
  • MBA preferred
  • Finance, operations, and business experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Inteva's product offerings desired
  • Experience in manufacturing and automotive desired
