Russell Tobin is working with a premier manufacturing organization to add to their team! The Product Design Engineer will plan and execute design verification and reliability activities for medical devices. Responsibilities include developing and validating test methods, conducting data analysis, and collaborating across disciplines to ensure safe, reliable products.

Job Title: Product Design Verification & Stability Engineer

Location: San Antonio, TX

Job Type: 12-Month Contract, potential for extension/transition to permanent

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute design verification plans and test strategies.
• Apply design-for-reliability methods (DFMEA, HALT, etc.).
• Validate test methods and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Analyze test data, prepare reports, and support failure investigations.
• Collaborate with lab technicians to build and test setups.
• Create programs for test automation and data collection (e.g., LabView).

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical, etc.).
• 2+ years in medical devices or regulated industries.
• Knowledge of reliability testing, FDA/ISO standards, and statistical tools (e.g., MiniTab).
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with LabView and SolidWorks preferred.
• Experience with thermal, vibration, or electrical safety testing.
• Technical writing and control systems knowledge.
