Job DescriptionOverview:Join an innovative team designing cutting-edge process fluid chillers for advanced technologies. As a Product Design Engineer, you'll contribute to exciting projects in a friendly, family-owned company that values work-life balance and personal growth. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact in a non-corporate environment, free from typical big company constraints.Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in continuous product design improvement projects
- Assist in engineering and manufacturing process enhancements
- Create and maintain BOMs, wiring schematics, and piping schematics
- Design, manufacture, and test custom chiller systems
- Source and qualify components for new designs
- Document assembly specifications and transition processes from engineering to production
- Provide engineering support for assembly, testing, and troubleshooting on the manufacturing floor
- Develop and document quality improvement processes
- Perform failure analysis and implement corrective actions
- Analyze and report on product and component quality defects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or Electrical Engineering with strong mechanical background)
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and drafting software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal oversight
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems is preferred
