Job Summary As a Product Designer on the Software Engineering team, you will play a key role in the development of user-facing interfaces for our industry-leading video management products. You'll work closely with Product Management and Software Engineering to deliver UI designs that meet user needs, enhance functionality, and reflect OpenEye's commitment to quality and usability. - Contribute to and refine OpenEye's design style guidelines.
- Develop engineering-ready UI mockups.
- Lead individual design projects from conception to completion, acting as the primary designer for assigned tasks.
- Work closely with Product Managers and senior designers to refine and iterate on feature designs based on requirements and stakeholder feedback, contributing to the enhancement of overall user experience.
- Conduct user research, including interviews and usability testing, to gather insights on user needs and pain points.
- Perform routine reviews of UX changes developed by the software engineering team to ensure alignment with design standards.
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitor products to continuously improve and innovate on OpenEye's user interfaces.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in UI/UX or Product Design.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UI/UX design for complex applications.
- Proficiency with design software (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Solid understanding of design principles, user-centered methodologies, and usability best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to advocate for design choices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban) and tools (e.g., Jira).
- Experience working in a software engineering or technology environment.
- Basic understanding of software development processes and technologies.

- The pay range for this opportunity is $70,000 to $110,000 annually. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
