Job Overview The Rosie Assoulin team is seeking a skilled and self-motivated Associate Manager of Product Development and Production to assist in overseeing the entire product development and production process, working with both international and domestic factories. This position is critical to ensuring products meet design intent, quality standards, and production timelines. Key Responsibilities: Product Development Oversights : Assist in managing the entire product development lifecycle, from initial concept to final production, ensuring seamless execution of all processes across both international and domestic factories. Calendar Management : Collaborate with the Director to build and maintain the annual production and development calendar, ensuring key milestones are clearly defined. Proactively track and call out upcoming deadlines to keep teams aligned with project timelines and ensure adherence to the calendar. Vendor Communication : Serve as the primary point of day-to-day contact for international and domestic vendors, ensuring clear communication and resolving any issues related to design, construction, or production timelines, raising issues to the director where necessary. Production Management : Track production progress, ensuring that all timelines are met for both domestic and international production runs. Address and resolve any issues that may arise during the production process. In-House Sample Room Coordination : Collaborate with the in-house sample room to oversee sample and prototype development, ensuring alignment with design and quality standards. Material Sourcing and Procurement : Help manage the sourcing and procurement of all fabrics, trims, and other materials required for product development and production. Ensure timely delivery of materials and collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot any supply chain or quality issues. Quality Assurance : Ensure all products meet company standards for quality, fit, and construction, and provide final approval before large-scale production. Job Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Fashion Design or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in product development or production management within womens apparel. Experience managing both international and domestic production processes. Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrications, trims, and techniques. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively liaise with vendors and cross-functional teams. Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Procreate, or other relevant software. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience: Experience working with luxury or contemporary fashion brands. Familiarity with ApparelMagic PLM software is a plus. Experience in creating and sending tech packs to overseas manufacturers.
