The Senior Product Development Manager will oversee the lifecycle of fine jewelry products from initial concept through to production. This role demands a deep understanding of fine jewelry development, strong cross-functional collaboration, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in product development within the fine jewelry industry and the ability to drive innovation while efficiently bringing new products to market.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the entire product development process from concept to final sample approval, ensuring timely completion aligned with development calendars.
* Collaborate with design, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure product concepts are feasible, meet quality standards, and align with brand aesthetics.
* Coordinate and meet on-site with internal staff, as well as suppliers and manufacturers to develop prototypes and production samples, ensuring materials and craftsmanship meet required standards as needed.
* Analyze market trends, competitor products, and consumer preferences to inform product development strategies and maintain the brand's competitive edge.
* Present product development updates, insights, and recommendations to leadership based on data and industry trends.
Requirements
* Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in product development within the fine jewelry industry.
* Proven ability to manage projects from concept to production successfully, with a portfolio showcasing successful fine jewelry launches.
* Extensive knowledge of jewelry design, gemology, materials, and manufacturing processes - including CAD design software and other relevant tools used in product development.
* Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively liaising with designers, suppliers, and production teams.
* Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
$90,000 - $130,000 a year
Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's job duties, experience, and expertise. We will also consider higher level candidates and salary will be adjusted accordingly.
