Job Title: Product Development Technician (2 Available Positions)
Department: Product Development
Reports To: Product Development Scientist and Director of Product Development
Position Summary:
- Aid in the development of products in accordance with approved design requirements
- Complete all assigned research tasks
- Aid in writing documents for specific development products
Authorities:
- Research Material Requests
- Assists Product Development Scientist as required to complete projects
Duties & Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Development Project Duties & Responsibilities
- Become qualified to set up and work independently on specified manufacturing process required for development
- Aid in the development of products in accordance with approved design control processes
- Adhere to the scheduled daily workflow for specific products in development
- Aid in the establishment of experimental protocols for product development
- Record and analyze development data
- Present results and updates to supervisor and/or team(s)
- Report to supervisor any issues with the equipment, materials, or process
- Assist in writing draft study procedures for assigned projects
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete all initial training within the timeframes scheduled
- Keep training up to date in accordance with training schedules
- Be punctual to development work schedules
- Keep all work areas clean
Position Requirements:
- BS degree in a science related field
- Must be able to write and complete development procedures
- Able to follow instructions
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Able to communicate results
- Good communication and listening skills
- Good interpersonal and organization skills
- Good personal hygiene
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years' research or product development experience
- Previous IVD development experience
- Good basic knowledge of infectious diseases a bonus
