WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Develop and test installation tooling that will insure proper performance of joints between fasteners and installation panels
- Develop and machine fasteners used for prototyping process
- Assist in the development of new products for customer applications
- Test and validate performance of newly developed fasteners. Documentation in test reports
- Test and validate performance of released fasteners used in the new applications
- Modify tooling for validation of possible engineering change
- Provide Interface between other departments related to manufacturing/quality issues
- Develop solutions for manufacturing / quality issues together with the engineers
- Demonstrate the installation and testing capabilities to visiting customers
- Maintain shop equipment.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Associate degree or bachelor's Degree in technical field, Engineering or equivalent
- Ability to operate and maintain mechanical and hydraulic presses.
- Proficient with machine tools such as mill, surface grinder and lathe.
- PC/Microsoft Office skills
- Drawing reading skills
- Basic CAD knowledge (NX, CREO)
- Problem solving skills
- Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
ADDITIONAL SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:
- Follow all safety requirements to avoid injury to self and fellow employees.
- Create and maintain a safe work environment; repair and/or report non-conformances to company safety policies and guidelines
- Unairconditioned manufacturing facility and air-conditioned office
- Able to sit or stand for 8 -10 hours a day
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
