Oracle local government is building multiple brand-new software platforms for financial systems, emergency response, utility operations, and school safety. We use a foundation of Oracle Cloud tools to give us an advantage in the speed and quality of our build. Our start-up is 3 years old but now supports the safety and community operations for over 2 million Americans. With a team of over 200 strong building, implementing, and selling software we are continuing to grow our product team.

To support our mission, we are hiring a Local Government Product Director as a key leader and team member to support our rapid growth.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

  • Establish strategic vision and direction:Establish, refine, and execute on our product strategy for your product functional area which will be selected based on your fit with our team.
  • Build product:Understand the customer needs, learn from our internal subject matter experts, and collaborate with our designers to crisply articulate an inspirational product message and concrete build plan.
  • Drive commercialization and go-to-market:Collaborate with sales and marketing leaders to refine product positioning, pricing, and go-to-market.
  • Ensure customer success and guide service delivery:Engage directly with new customers to understand why they chose us, to get them to fully use our software as intended, and to build raving fans.
  • Who we are looking for:
  • BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. An MBA is not required but can be helpful depending on accompanying work experience.
  • Top-tier management consulting experience is strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years of software engineering, product management, management consulting or related technical experience.
  • Track record of successfully building and shipping product.
  • Experience in a start-up or a 0 to 1 new product launch is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, Sales, Customer Support, Finance or Marketing.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence multiple stakeholders, achieve strategic goals, and drive product strategy based on research, data, and industry trends.
  • 5+ years of product management experience shipping complex B2B/B2C products from concept to launch at a leading tech company.
  • 3+ years of business, design, and tech acumen which enable productive discussions with sales, designers and engineers.

    US: Hiring Range: from $130,000 to $291,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

    Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

    Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
