Position Summary:

Ajax/CECO/Erie Press is seeking a Product Engineer to join our team, specializing in custom-designed machinery. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills, as you guide clients through the design and development process of tailor-made machinery solutions. You'll work closely with customers to understand their specific requirements, lead engineering projects from concept to completion, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project delivery. This position offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, custom machinery solutions that meet both client and company objectives. Ideally the candidate will have a passion for innovation and problem-solving, combined with at least 5 years of product engineering experience.

Job Duties:

- Work closely with clients to understand their specific needs and translate them into custom machinery solutions.

- Lead the design, development, and engineering process from concept to final product.

- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

- Provide support in sales and estimation, helping to guide clients through the technical aspects of project proposals.

- Present solutions to customers, explaining design decisions and project plans clearly and effectively.

- Ensure all projects meet company and industry standards for quality and safety.

What you need to be successful:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Engineer in custom machinery or a similar field.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in sales, estimation, or working in customer-facing roles.
