Job DescriptionThe Commercial Insurance Auto Product Line Manager is responsible for product maintenance, development, and management efforts to drive top and bottom-line goals for the Commercial Insurance & Small Business Auto Lines. This role will facilitate assigned product line initiatives across various departments, including Underwriting, Regulatory, Marketing, Claims, Actuarial, IT, Government Affairs, and Legal. Additionally, this position will support the New Product Build for both Lower Middle Market and Small Commercial.Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct ongoing product management, performing comprehensive analyses to develop data-driven business recommendations for product, rule, rate, or underwriting changes for new and existing products.
- Collaborate on new initiatives and strategies with key stakeholders to advocate for change.
- Manage regular product maintenance, including regulatory changes, enhancements to underwriting rules, loss cost updates, and ISO circular updates.
- Oversee and maintain relationships with vendor partners to ensure alignment with product goals, performance standards, and timely delivery of services and resources.
- Work closely with Underwriting, Actuarial, and Portfolio Management to provide insights on state rate selections based on rate indications and product performance.
- Collaborate across teams to assist in project management tasks as needed, including resource coordination, progress tracking, and status communication.
- Identify, develop, and implement process improvement strategies to achieve financial objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management within Commercial Lines.
- Prior experience collaborating with IT, underwriting, regulatory, and risk management to develop product changes.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with effective communication abilities to engage diverse stakeholders, demonstrating resilience and determination to overcome challenges and drive positive outcomes.
