Commercial Cards has been one of the fastest growing businesses fueled by the adoption of Virtual Cards. The Commercial Cards business offers a comprehensive set of cards solutions across T&E, Purchasing, and Virtual Card solutions targeted at Corporate and Institutional Banking, Middle Market and Upper Business Banking clients in North America. This Account Management role provides a significant opportunity to further develop client facing skills in revenue generation, issue resolution, driving company objectives, and project management.Job OverviewSuccessful candidates will oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, from acquisition through activation and onwards through the entire account lifecycle, identifying new program growth and optimization opportunities, while acting as a problem-solving resource, subject matter expert and point of escalation and timely resolution.Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe core responsibilities of the role are to drive card and virtual card program growth through initiatives that maximize spend as well as maintain client satisfaction.Monthly Spend analysis vs program spend projectionsRebate trajectory based on spend-to-dateCredit limit reviewsDeclined authorization review/analysisFraud and dispute analysisPrimary Point of Contact (liaises with Service, Onboarding, etc.Portfolio ReviewsClose or re-instigate low volume or dormant programs.Knowledge/ExperienceUnderstanding the value of Santander's Commercial Card products and pricing as well as competitive offerings and articulating Santander's benefits in a manner meaningful to our client.Ability to develop strategic growth plans to identify and track revenue trends, recognize cross-sell opportunities, forecasting revenue, and analyze competitive threats.Understanding of ecosystem players and their position/value proposition within the cards market.Candidate will manage multiple phases of sales cycle including initial contact on cross sell, identification of client needs, presentations/product demos & pricing negotiation.Qualifications7-10 years of relevant work experience.Bachelor's degree in business and/or finance.Equivalent combination of education, experience, and industry knowledge.Outstanding written communication and verbal presentation skills.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Prepare detailed proposals and client-centric PowerPoint presentations.Must have strong consultative sales and negotiation skills.Collaborates to generate ideas and deliver timely solutions.Able to travel regionally, estimated 5-15% depending on business needs.Location OptionsBoston, MAEast Providence, RINew York, NYStamford, CTFlorham Park, NJPossible Remote Option available based on ExperienceDiversity & EEO StatementsAt Santander, we value and respect differences in our workforce and strive to increase the diversity of our teams.
