Product Manager - Controls

Product Manager - Controls will be tasked to manage the product line to achieve real terms orders growth and profitability. The Product Manager will be responsible for managing the portfolio through the entire life cycle.

Manage portfolio from cradle to grave to achieve real terms order growth and profitability. Identify and drive growth opportunities in targeted products - 40%

Identify and implement sales and supply strategies to achieve order and profit targets within portfolio - 40%

Drive and develop product vitality. Develop new product ideas and driving them through the NPI process either with the Steam Business Development Team or through local engineering. Perform gap analysis and complete business cases to identify and support growth opportunities - 20%

Job Functions:

* Manage Product Launch process for SXS US Package Portfolio.

* Coordinate with Marketing, Pricing, Supply and Sales on new product launches and through product life cycle

* Manage business systems that support the product portfolio.

* Coordinate with Pricing, Sales and Industry Managers on product opportunities and manage the implementation of the initiatives

* Develop tools to support sales process

* Visit customer and distributors to drive new product solutions and assist in sales cycle

* Track vitality scores on product initiatives

* Create, capture and validate new product ideas to start the NPI process

* Conduct VOC and VOS to identify NPI opportunities

* Perform competitor and market analysis to identify road map for product portfolio

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

* 10+ years or more of experience in engineering or applications engineering

* 3+ years or more of experience in business development (preferred)

* Confidently engage at all levels of internal and external organizations

* Excellent presentation and report writing capability

* Able to take ownership on projects and manage them with little supervision

* Leadership skills required to manage and develop a team

* Display a positive attitude and innovative approach to problem solving and is able to justify findings based on supporting data

* Demonstrates high degree of professionalism, leadership, and autonomous drive

* Outstanding oral and written communication skills

* Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively

* Goal oriented self-starter and able to flex to changing business needs and priorities

* Ability to respond to tight deadlines and work under pressure
