Position Summary ECU Health is seeking a Product Manager to join the Digital Health and Innovation team at ECU Health Information Services (IS). This position is critical in driving the development and implementation of cutting-edge healthcare technology solutions at ECU Health. To foster a culture of innovation across ECU Health, the product manager is part of a multi-disciplinary team that collectively aims to identify, rigorously evaluate and facilitate the implementation of emerging technology to achieve excellence across digital health, research, and innovation domains.
Responsibilities - Lead product development lifecycle for Digital Health and Innovation Team projects including concept to implementation, ensuring user center and high-quality end-user experience.
- Collaborate and facilitate cross-functional teams including clinicians, analysts, health IT vendors, and operational leaders to effectively leverage innovative digital health technology solutions at ECU Health.
- Develop a product roadmap aligning with the strategic goals of ECU Health Innovation team and the academic health system goals.
- Lead multidisciplinary design workshops and structured brainstorming for new innovation project ideas including the use of brainstorming tools such prototypes, mock-ups, idea boards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to clearly define features, functionalities, and product requirements of innovative technology solutions adopted by ECU health.
- Regularly perform market research to understand user needs and emerging trends in digital health and health IT.
- Strong commitment to technology from a human-centered lens, with a strong emphasis on empathy-driven interactions between patients, healthcare providers, and health technologies.
- Leads the planning and execution of usability testing and synthesizing user feedback into the refinement of technology planned for implementation.
- Serve as point of contact between any regulatory or compliance considerations for new technology adoption.
- Develop and execute communication and marketing campaigns for product launches and/or Go-Lives for innovation projects.
- Work collaboratively with data analyst/data scientists, and project manager to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are monitored after product launch.
Minimum Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3 years of related experience
- Strong foundation of software development methodologies
- Excellent organizational skills and project management
- Strong understanding of health IT data privacy and security practices
