Job Title Product Manager Job Description Dekko is looking for a Product Manager to join our talented, dynamic and growing team in Fort Wayne, IN. The Product Manager will report to the Director of Marketing & Strategy, and be responsible for new product strategy and marketing, lifecycle management, manufacturing footprint optimization, and ultimately managing the growth and profitability of the product line. They will work with cross-functional teams across the global Commercial organization, as well as customers and the broader market. The Product Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle management, driving the strategic vision, development, and market success of our industrial manufacturing solutions. What you'll do:
  • Develop and implement product strategies and roadmaps aligned with company goals by leading voice of the customer (VOC) research, identifying market trends and new product opportunities to inform planning and optimize product performance.
  • Work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure product alignment with customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical support for product-related inquiries to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manage product portfolios, including existing products and new launches, throughout their lifecycle. Develop strategies to optimize product performance and market share.
  • Define product vision, value proposition, and positioning for products and solution.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Collaborate with engineering to create detailed product specifications and oversee the product lifecycle, including design, prototyping, testing, and production.
  • Conduct market research, gather customer feedback, perform competitive analysis, and analyze data to identify opportunities, improvements, and support go-to-market strategies with data-driven decisions.
  • Maximize and track product line performance through lifecycle management, competitive assessments, and ensuring alignment on demand forecasts and new product introductions.
What you'll need:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, with a strong background in engineering and contract manufacturing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in engineering principles, product development processes, and project management tools.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing customer relationships and delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Strong analytical abilities to use data to develop strategies and make decisions in a time sensitive manner
  • Competencies to quickly turn ideas or strategy into action, operate in a customer-centric approach
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Business
Preferred:
  • Ten (10) or more years of related work experience in product management, project management, marketing, sales, or engineering
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing industry, working directly with original equipment manufacturers, designers/consultants, wholesalers, contractors, and/or end-user customers
  • Expertise in product portfolio planning and product development processes, from discovery to testing and launch
  • Strong financial modeling and forecasting skills
  • Commercial development and marketing expertise in B2B environments, and track record of driving business growth
Other Requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools, and high degree of organizational skills
