If you are an experienced B2B Product Manager, Marketing Manager, Business Development professional or Product Engineer looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in Florham Park, NJ, you will be responsible for growing our broad automation product portfolio for Precision Fluid Control developing strategies, and programs to increase market penetration with regional and global impact. Based on detailed market analysis and customer understanding, you will assess the introduction of products and technologies to meet customer needs and support a consistent and effective growth strategy for the assigned portfolio. Interaction and collaboration with different departments will be key to achieving your goals and programs. You will be part of the Global Product Marketing team. This position requires a customer-centric mindset-someone who can understand customer needs and challenges and envision the next generation of products to solve our customers' most challenging problems.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

* Find opportunities for new product development within the Discrete Automation segment. Conduct market, product, competitor and customer research to resolve unmet customer needs and translate them into product requirements.

* Maintain responsibility for the entire product lifecycle, from the initial idea/assessment, through launch, growth, maturity and phase out. You will champion initiatives to increase the profit of the company.

* Manage existing product lines by compiling and analyzing internal and external data on customers, products, and competitors while making strategic and tactical decisions. i.e. segmentation analysis, product life cycle analysis, etc.

* Develop a robust foundation for new product launches through strong promotional marketing campaigns (launch packages, trade shows, advertising, and relevant literature) and internal sales support initiatives.

* Create product line architecture plans (roadmaps) for product segments and strive to optimize portfolio (product line consolidations, phase out, redesign, cost reduction)

* Actively collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Business Development and Sales teams from development through all phases of the development process cycle, and occasionally lead as Project Manager.

* Support new and existing initiatives to streamline operations/production within the current product portfolio. Proactively work with sales and customers on product adoption and transition.

* Develop pricing strategies.

* Develop a network of contacts internally and at end users, OEM's and distributors.

* Provide technical support, training, and presentations to inside and outside sales groups as necessary.

For This Role, You Will Need:

* Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering

* 3 years experience in B2B marketing or relevant technical background

* Strong technical competence and skills in MS Office

* Ability to travel 10%

* Legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

* MBA Preferred

* 5+ years' experience

* Full Cycle project management expertise (from conception through R&D, to manufacturing, to customer)

* Experience in high pressure fluid control and/or Industrial Automation is a strong preference
