The Product Marketing Manager collaborates cross-functionally; gathers market, product, and competitive intelligence; and drives demand with resonate messaging that delivers profitable growth. In this role, you will bring new products and features to market, optimize the value of SaaS and transportation offerings through brilliant positioning, and articulate what makes OneRail solutions different.
In this Role, You Will:
Be an expert on the customer and market, leveraging key insights gleaned from analysis to inform decisions
* Understand customer needs, challenges, customers, buying journey, buying criteria, and perception of value
* Identify target and emerging market segments through analysis and voice of customer efforts
* Uncover valuable insights that lead to breakthrough messaging and innovative products that solve customer challenges
* Share insights and advance organizational understanding of the customer, market, and competition
* Understand market drivers, trends, size, opportunities, and threats
* Know the players, partners, and competitors by analyzing their products, messaging, and marketing to differentiate and position OneRail's offering
* Remain up to date on emerging and future trends across all relevant industries to identify and grow business opportunities
* Leverage data to inform decision-making for strategy development and adjustments as necessary
Develop Product Marketing strategies that drive business growth and reinforce brand equity
* Develop the marketing strategy for SaaS and transportation products, including existing offerings and new product launches
* Position and differentiate products to optimize value in various markets by developing messaging, guiding product development, and influencing the pricing strategy
* Develop briefs and lead briefings for product development and product marketing initiatives
* Work closely with Product Marketing colleagues to articulate solution value and trade-up opportunities in market
* Partner closely with Product Management to influence the product roadmap based on customer and market insights, driving innovation and novel ways of solving customer pain points
* Craft go-to-market (GTM) strategies and oversee the launch process from ideation to execution, focused on the customer journey, by ensuring defined goals are met, budget and timeline parameters are observed, and opportunities to increase reach and efficiency are identified
* Leverage your knowledge, technical expertise, and understanding of target customers to provide input for the development of sales tools, training, and content along key customer touchpoints, including value propositions, competitive differentiators, and portfolio positioning
* Communicate plans and obtain input across Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and other stakeholder groups
* Guide Marketing & Communications and their managed agencies in the execution of GTM programs by providing focused objectives and strategic, thoughtful feedback
Your Professional Profile/Qualifications
* 5+ years of professional software marketing experience, preferably in a B2B environment
* 2+ years leading cross-functional teams
* Experience with SaaS offerings preferred, experience in supply chain logistics is a plus
* Can speak the language of software developers and marketing teams with equal fluency
* Can demonstrate leading successful go-to-market plans that drive SaaS adoption
* A team player and true collaborator with exceptional interpersonal skills
* Strong analysis, strategy development, problem solving and decision-making abilities
* Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing workloads to meet competing deadlines
* You are passionate about technology and thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication skills and a gifted storyteller
* Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook is required
* Experience with Salesforce is a plus
